In 1996, I was born in Maryland to Bob and Cindy Hafner. My mother was an elementary teacher and is now working in a life skills classroom. My father sells insurance. I have one older sister, Allison who has married and moved to Indiana. Currently, my parents and I reside in Quakertown, Pennsylvania. I attended Messiah College to study Public Relations and Dance. In May 2019, I was pleased to have graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BA in both Public Relations and Dance. I have been dancing for 19 years and have training in ballet, jazz, modern, tap and contemporary. During my college years, I taught musical theater style dance class for Acclamation Dance Ministry, a dance club on Messiah's campus, and was President of Footprintz, a hip hop club. I was also in charge of Alumni Relations for Acclamation Dance Ministry. In Messiah's chapter of PRSSA, Public Relations Student Society of America, I was honored to serve as the President my junior and senior year. I enjoy being involved in a variety of different things and value the responsibilities that are given to me. As someone who has a love for dance, I dream of a job that incorporates both public relations and dance. I have learned characteristics such as dedication, passion, and focus from dance. Through public relations I have learned diligence, responsibility, and professionalism. Each subject brings their own specific set of skills that can be applied to life as a whole. They have taught me valuable lessons and have both become a part of who I am today. Both dance and public relations uses skills such a quick thinking, being resourceful, and hard work. The unique combination of the two subjects has shaped me into the adult that I am. Through my different leadership positions and the jobs I work, I am able to show the skills I have learned and practice them in new ways.
